The Tianjin Juilliard School Pre-College program offers a comprehensive conservatory music program on Saturdays from September through May for advanced Pre-College students ages 8-18.
Pre-College students work with outstanding faculty, many of whom are members of Tianjin Juilliard School’s collegiate faculty.
The faculty serve as teachers, role models, and mentors, guiding students as they develop technical proficiency while fostering creativity and intellectual curiosity.
The Saturday Pre-College program prepares students who exhibit talent, potential, and ambition to pursue serious music study at the college level.
Recognizing the importance of early development and discipline in the music field, the school offers an atmosphere where artistic gifts and technical skills can flourish.

Responsibilities :
The Pre-College Chorus Conductor is a part-time faculty position that leads the division’s Youth (students aged 8-13) and High School Choruses (students aged 14-18).
Rehearsals and concerts take place on Saturdays in our Binhai campus in Tianjin.
Responsibilities include :
- Work with the Pre-College administration to determine appropriate repertoire (treble / SAB / SATB) for the choruses and support the students' musical development.
- Lead weekly rehearsals, 2-3 hours per week.
- Provide necessary vocal and diction training during the rehearsals.
- Conduct 2-4 concerts per academic year.
- Work with Pre-College administration on concert production.
- Assess semester grades for all students based on progress, participation, and behavior.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree and / or considerable professional experience in choral conducting, preferably with youth groups.
- Extensive knowledge of choral repertoire.
- Must be able to speak Chinese with demonstrated English proficiency.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Applicants must be able to work in China without a Chinese Visa.
