89 - $72.18. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to : scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

What you will be doingRegisterd Nurse / Clinical Risk SpecialistPer DiemOverview : Works closely with AVP and Director of Risk Management on assessing current inpatient complications / outcomes through interviews with staff and medical record review, follows up on established Risk Alerts, responds to patient complaints (written and oral) and prepares Professional Safety Committee summaries.

The Risk Specialist plays a vital role in the department, evaluating and assessing overall patient risk in the institution;

makes recommendations for process improvement in the Hospital and participates in planning for changes / improvement within the department.

The Clinical Risk Specialist also assists in departmental special projects for the MIAC Board.Qualifications : The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN) and possess at least five years quality nursing experience.

A current NY State registration and license is required. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel as well as comfort in working with Electronic Occurrence Reporting Systems is preferred.
