340B Program Coordinator
The 340B Program Coordinator for the Pharmacy Department monitors and manages the pharmacy's ability to acquire reduced price medications and provide them to eligible patients.
The coordinator ensures that the 340B pharmacy program is continuously compliant with state and federal regulations. Development of systems and processes to limit program liabilities and provide audits to identify risk and prevent duplicate discounts and diversion is key functions of this position.
The coordinator will continuously monitor for changes in the 340B program and offer contributions and changes to the 340B pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure 340B compliance and improve its efficiency and value.
The ability to work independently, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate and train other staff are key requirements.
This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy.
Schedule
Generally Monday-Friday, 8 hours / day
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with some post secondary education.
- Certification as a pharmacy technician registered with the State Board of Pharmacy.
- A thorough understanding of drug nomenclature and medical terminology.
- Five years experience working as a pharmacy technician or related.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficient inExcel spreadsheet design.
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
