About The Position
Job Title : Locum Interventional Cardiologist Job Specialty : Interventional Cardiology Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 24 Hour Call Coverage Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Not specified License : Active UT license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) Certifications : BLS, Board Certified, DEA Must-Have : - Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology- Clean Malpractice / background preferred;
case-by-case basis- Active BLS and DEA for credentialing- Compliance with EMR training requirements- Availability for specified shifts Job Description : Provide 24-hour STEMI call coverage with shifts from 7 a.
m. to 7 a.m.- Perform procedures such as left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angioplasty / stents, balloon pump / Impella, transesophageal Echo, and pacemakers.
- Coverage required from December 1 (7 a.m.) to December 3 (7 a.m.), and December 23 (7 a.m.) to December 29 (7 a.m.).- Setting includes inpatient care, call, and emergency room responsibilities in a Level 4 Trauma center.
- Required to have completed EMR training modules before virtual training; virtual training must be finished prior to the first day.
- Responsible for backfilling a retiring provider while a full-time replacement is recruited.- Work with support staff, including Echo Tech, Lab Tech, RN, X-ray Tech, Nuclear Tech.
- Must be available for specified shifts to be considered for ongoing opportunities.
