Our team at Oracle is building a cloud-native platform for the Fusion Applications that operates at a large scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment.
We focus on transforming how Software Developers and DevOps engineers build cloud applications for enterprise customers using Oracle technologies.
This is a principal-level position, meaning you are gonna be one of the technical leaders on our team, making decisions and taking responsibility for them, driving various initiatives, and supporting other team members working with you side by side.
We need your expertise with Scala and ZIO to help the team build efficient, secure, and scalable code.
You will be responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle : working with product managers and early-adopting customers on the requirements, planning and running design research and proof-of-concept, validating your work with the design review board (and contributing there as a reviewer as well!), drive implementation of certain features, help the team to improve existing coding and engineering practices and more.
We own our applications - we deploy and operate them, and we see them being used daily by our customers.
Ideal candidates will have in-depth experience building, delivering, and operating cloud-native, highly available, distributed, and secure systems across multiple regions.
Our team is primarily remote and spread across the US, India, and Europe. Still, we are starting to be closely connected, practicing the Agile approach and leveraging Slack and Zoom for day-to-day communication.
Desired Qualifications :
- Self-driven, able to take ownership of complex features, and support junior engineers to deliver results on time
- Strong communication skills, including cross-team collaboration
- 10+ years of experience in software development
- Strong expertise in functional design and programming using Scala and ZIO
- Deep expertise in building applications using the microservice architecture
- Expertise in database design
- Experience building and working with REST APIs
- Experience with container-based deployment (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with source control (BitBucket, GIT, Maven, SVN)
- Experience with continuous deployment tools (., Teamcity, Jenkins)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native app development
- Understanding of the Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with Temporal
- Experience within a Linux based environment
- Ability to design and implement distributed high available cloud services

US : Hiring Range : from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
