Job Summary / Description :
WTOC is looking for a dynamic storyteller to lead our transportation coverage. Savannah is seeing record growth and WTOC wants to lead the market in helping viewers stay ahead of the changes on our roadways.
WTOC is looking for a Daybreak Traffic Anchor / Multi-Media Journalist. The successful candidate will offer traffic reports on air each day for THE News at Daybreak starting from : a- am as well as on our digital platforms.
In addition to traffic duties, you may be assigned to cover other traffic-related stories ranging from infrastructure concerns, construction progress, and / or any other commuter issues.
Duties / Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- The successful candidate will provide multiple traffic reports for our Daybreak newscasts and be assigned to traffic and non-related traffic stories.
- Candidates must be a great writer, and communicators and must have strong communication skills to interact with our news anchors.
- Candidates must be able to sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and web users.
- Multi-tasking is key as you will be juggling many things at once. The successful candidate will be required to post stories on the station website and all social media platforms.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Experience with ENPS and Edius editing is a plus as is knowledge of operating a traffic graphics system, but not necessary.
- Experience as an anchor preferred
