NOW HIRING LATHE OPERATOR - 3RD SHIFT AREA : CHERRYVILLE, NC Pay : $ - $ per hourShift : 11pm-7am ( Must be able to train on 1st shift 7am-3pm Mon-Fri)To operate secondary machining equipment related to finishing and similar secondary functions.
Types of machines / equipment to be operated on the job (be descriptive) : Grinders, hones, lappers, buffers, washers, sanders, tappers, drill presses, roller burnishers, tumblers, CNC machines and similar equipment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES *To efficiently and safely make tool and insert changes with minimal assistance.*To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to insure product quality.
- To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.*Legibly record and maintain applicable product / process information.
- Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to insure continuation of control conditions.
- Provide active input to continuous process improvement.*Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES *Assist maintenance with the repair of equipment and make minor repairs.*Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
- Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.*Perform other tasks as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, manuals, etc.
- Able to do basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplicationand division.*Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
- Able to write legible sentences. Able to use math formulas and solve basic equations. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS *Troubleshoot designated equipment / assemblies to required complexity.
- Operate and adjust required equipment properly.*Demonstrate effective writing skills with regards to appropriate records, reports and procedures.
- Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regards to communications, cooperative associations and participation in continuous improvement.
