Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is Moving Forward as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations.
We are seeking qualified candidates for a Lead positions in our Packaging & Heat Transfer Departments. We have an opening on second shift.
These positions may require overtime and weekends.
The Lead positions require the ability to (this is not a complete job description) :
- work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- meet or exceed company quality standards
- maintain regular and predictable attendance
- comply with company processes and procedures
- follow verbal and written instructions
- stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while handling material or products
- work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
- perform job duties in variable temperatures based on weather conditions (including hot weather)
- ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises
- successfully complete drug and background screenings
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :
- Training all team members on the standard procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Operating machinery and equipment to include Heat Transfer, Rollup and Packaging Machines
- Recording and maintaining accurate and consistent attendance records
- Leading daily team meetings discussing a variety of topics including safety, quality and productivity goals and performance
- Performing a daily end of shift walk around with the next shift to ensure a smooth hand-off of work-cell to maintain a high standard within the department
- Working with computer systems to include emails, word processing, AS400 / Scanning and Power BI
- Effectively communicating information both verbally and written
- Ability to communicate in both English & Spanish
