We are seeking compassionate and knowledgeable instructors who have experience working with neurodivergent enthusiastic learners.
This person will provide personalized academic support and education plans to students with diverse learning needs. We value and embrace neurodiversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our highly motivated students, and it begins with our instructors who share their love of learning.
What we ask of you :
Ability to adjust teaching strategies and approaches based on student ability and progress
Experience working in groups as well as 1-1 education settings with neurodivergent learners
Eagerness to collaborate with students, parents, and other educators to ensure the success of every student
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student confidence
Willingness to share your passion and inspire students to reach their full potential
Are creative, professional, and serious about providing purposeful academic opportunities for all
Maintain an accurate calendar and be available on weekday evenings and some weekend hours
Be available to work in-person from one of our offices in Lexington or Newton. Additional opportunities are available with school partners in Boston, Brookline, Concord, Lynnfield, Scituate, and / or Somerville, Massachusetts
Provide timely and detailed notes after each session
Engage with the team, and communicate openly and regularly with those who support you
Are you the right fit?
You have teaching / tutoring experience working with the neurodivergent community
You are computer literate
You are reliable and punctual and live within a reasonable commute of our offices and school partners (each withing 40 miles or less outside of Boston, Massachusetts)
You want to be a part of an exciting company as it grows
You have completed at least four years of college
Teaching certification a plus
You are eligible to work in the U.S. and can successfully complete a federal I-9 form and a national background check
What you get from us :
Hourly rates starting at $30-35 per hour
Paid and continuous training
All curriculum materials needed
Ability to complete sessions online in addition to in-person appointments (snow days)
