CVOR TECH

We're looking for CVOR / Surgical Technicians for an immediate travel tech opening in Billings, MT. The right candidate should have 2 years' recent acute care experience.

As a Travel CVOR / Surgical Technician, you will assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for cardiac operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed.

The CVOR / Surgical Technician must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

Travel CVOR Techs must be experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique : setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases, pulling cases as needed, and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.

He / she is knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures. A Travel CVOR Tech performs delegated duties consistent with his / her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery.

As a Travel CVOR / Surgical Technician you should be prepared to perform the following tasks :

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Confirm procedure with patient.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Meet technical skills as outlined in checklist.

All CVOR / Surgical Technicians are required to hold the NBSTSA Certification in order to be eligible for employment with TNAA.

Travel CVOR / Surgical Technicians should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.

Techs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.

Because of the fast-paced environment, techs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Certs required : BLS, NBSTSA. Experience required : 2 Years plus Experience with scrubbing in open heart cases (CABG, MVR, AVR ect.

vascular cases (endo and open) and thoracic (open, robotic, and laparoscopic) cases. Weekday and Weekend call shifts varies.

At a minimum you will work 1 call weekend a month and 7 weekday call shifts a month.
