THE ROLE
As a Senior Backend Engineer , you will design and develop scalable backend systems, write clean code, and lead architecture decisions.
You'll collaborate closely with the product and DevOps teams to build new features and enhance platform capabilities. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on solving technical challenges and making a direct impact.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain backend applications and APIs using FastAPI (or Django / Flask if necessary).
- Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and scale the backend to handle new features.
- Collaborate with the product team, full-stack engineers, and DevOps on building out platform functionality.
- Occasionally troubleshoot and diagnose customer-side issues alongside the support team.
- Be 80-90% hands-on technical, driving backend development efforts.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience with Python and backend frameworks like FastAPI Django , or Flask
- Ability to work independently and make significant hands-on contributions.
- Willingness to occasionally jump into customer support or client-side troubleshooting when needed.
- Experience with PostgreSQL Docker Kubernetes , and Git is a plus.
- Familiarity with React or Node.js is a bonus, along with startup experience.
