Job Title : Senior Market Segment Manager, Novel Excipents

Role Type : Full-time

Position : Hybrid

Location : Brecksville, OH, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina, or Virginia

The Sr. Market Segment Manager Novel Excipients is responsible for the development and execution of novel polymers innovation and commercialization strategy for Lubrizol’s global pharma business to deliver successful market acceptance of novel excipient technologies in the global pharmaceutical markets.

  • Accountabilities will include (1) establishing unmet market and customers’ needs in the pharmaceutical and drug development space;
  • 2) identifying internal and external innovation to deliver solutions aligned with the overall pharma strategy; (3) build business cases and formulate pathways to commercialization of the innovation;

4) forge customer partnerships to deliver license and supply agreements for sustainable and profitable growth.

What you will do :

Work with teams cross-functional and -regional teams to

  • Oversee the entire process associated with novel excipient development and introduction process from idea conceptualization to commercialization
  • Identify unmet market and customers’ needs through analyses of market trends and direct engagements delivering clear strategy for continued growth in the pharmaceutical excipient space
  • Manage the development pipeline of innovative excipients leveraging Lubrizol’s Corporate and LZAM technology groups along with establishing strategic external partnerships and collaborations
  • Develop concise business cases and lead as commercial point-of-contact for all related stage-gate process ensuring clear communication and alignment across all levels within the organization
  • Lead the novel excipient projects as the single point of contact for the relevant project stakeholders including, but not limited to technical, product management, supply chain, procurement, and regulatory.
  • Deliver successful licensing and supply agreement working closely with customers and partners aligned with financial objective and overall pharma business strategy
  • Represent Lubrizol and its technologies at various trade and industry events

What you need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, chemistry, or engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales, marketing or business management / development experience; including : Strong network in the Pharma industry Experience in the Pharma ingredients, excipients is a plus Successfully demonstrates B2B sales capability Travel up to 30%, domestic and global.
