Medical Assistant - Reverse Integrated Care Clinic
Davis Behavioral Health is seeking part-time Certified Medical Assistant to work on the medical team in its reverse integrated care clinic.

The reverse integrated care clinic Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting the FNP or PA in delivering high-quality physical health care to adults with SPMI and addiction issues within our Reverse Integrated Care Clinic.
This role involves assisting with clinical tasks, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine interest in working with these patient populations.
Essential Job Functions
The Medical Assistant will be responsible to perform the following duties.
- Assist the FNP or PA with patient assessments, including taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting symptoms.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the FNP or PA.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
- Educate patients on health management, medication instructions, and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist with coordination of care between physical health and behavioral health providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinic protocols and procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, processing insurance forms, and managing patient flow.
Classification
This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt and the successful candidate will work 20 hours per week.
Compensation
The starting wages, based on established minimum qualifications, are outlined below :
Certified Medical Assistant : $20.00 per hour
Non-certified Medical Assistant / Medical Secretary : $17.50 per hour
Schedule
The successful candidate will work the following schedule :
Monday through Friday 8 : 00 am to 12 : 00 pm
Location
This position will be housed at the DBH Clinic located at 2250 North Robins Dr., Layton, Utah 84041.
Qualifications
Education / Certification
Active certification as a Medical Assistant in good standing. Candidates who are pursuing medical assistant certification and have experience directly related to the functions of this position may also be considered.
Experience
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably with SPMI and addiction populations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Skills / Abilities
- Strong clinical skills, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic lab tests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to educate patients on health management and treatment plans.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of SPMI and addiction populations is preferred.
Preference may be given for applicants who are fluent in Spanish, but this is not a requirement for employment in this opening.
