Certification Details
- Hold an active BLS, ARRT (CT) and WA License.
- BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Verification, Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Verification.
- General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) : Current BLS required.
- Certs / ARRT & other specialty certification requirements : ARRT RT (R) (CT).
- Radiation Badge Required PRIOR to starting travel assignment.
Job Details
- A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced CT Tech for a travel contract.
- Orientation / Education Hours : Orientation / education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 week of your assignment. Expect 25+ hours.
Job Requirements
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
- Must be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as Trauma.
Schedule Information
- Shift times just depends - can be a mix of 10Hr and 12Hr shifts for both days & nights.
- Assigned shifts and schedule.
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Weekend Requirement : Depends - there are shifts that are every weekend as well as every other weekend - will be dependent on needs.
- Holiday Requirement : Yes- If scheduled day lands on the holiday.
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time : Call is Optional, 45 minute response time.

- Department : Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
- How many scanners / rooms does this department have? 3
- Will they have to float / cover any other areas? Occasionally float to X-ray to do ED / Inpatient / Outpatient X-ray. Usually depends on the job / shift position.
- Common types of imaging / studies performed & Job Duties : All routine CT exams for Inpatient / Outpatient and ED, Cardiac CT, biopsy / drain, Cryo / Microwave ablations.
- Average # of scans / studies per day : 65-70 in a 24 hour period on 3 scanners.
- EMR & / or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System : software & hardware) do they use : EMR EPIC, PACS SECTRA, Windows computer software.
- Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) : 1 GE REV CT, 2 GE REV HD.
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech : Both Imaging supervisor and Shift / Modality lead techs.
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No.
- Radiologist in-house? Radiologist on site 24 / 7.
- Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes IV skills very helpful for working outpatients.

- Scrub Color / Dress Code : Are scrubs provided? Any color scrubs - as long as look professional, Hospital scrubs only provided for staff working in the OR.
