Position Summary :
ADF Engineering is seeking a professional "Sales Engineer" to sell consulting engineering services to our established industrial clients and to identify new customers.
This position will cover the Midwest including Decatur, Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri; and Indianapolis, Indiana. The Sales Engineer will be a part of a team to develop and present competitive, project-based proposals consisting of Structural, Process / Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering services.
The Sales Engineer will support other professionals and will promote the financial and operational success of the overall company.
The Sales Engineer will coordinate their efforts with the Marketing Department to broaden ADF's exposure to target audiences and promote ADF Engineering's reputation for creative and cost-effective engineering services.
The Sales Engineer will collaborate with the engineering staff to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and which meet quality standards.
The Sales Engineer will cultivate long-term, repeat business as well as identifying new clients. The Sales Engineer will consistently promote the ADF brand and maintain customer good-will.
Experience and Qualifications Requirements :
- Five or more years of commercial or industrial sales experience with measurable success
- Knowledge of industrial clients in any of the following locations : Decatur, Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri; and Indianapolis, Indiana
- Knowledge and experience in selling to the following markets is highly preferred :
- Agricultural and related processes and markets.
- Processing of corn, soybeans, or other grain crops.
- Food processing.
- Pet food or animal feed production.
- A working understanding of Structural, Process / Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred.
- Sales experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and / or biofuels will be considered.
- A Bachelor level degree in Engineering or related field is desirable.
- Formal Project Management experience is a plus.
