Position Overview

LVPG OB / GYN is an enterprise of multiple practices across several counties in southeastern Pennsylvania that serves womens preventive, gynecological, and obstetric needs.

Inpatient care is conducted at 2 Family Birth and Newborn Centers, Cedar Crest (Allentown) and Muhlenberg (Bethlehem) hospital sites, and 2 primary surgical locations at Muhlenberg and 17

Street (Allentown) campuses.

The Director of OB / GYN Ultrasound at Lehigh Valley Health Network will provide leadership as well as clinical and administrative oversite in the areas of program development, program growth, clinical quality, protocol development and uniform application, equipment / personnel needs and ultrasound education.

Ideally, the Director of OB / GYN Ultrasound would also be the Director of Ultrasound Education for the OB / GYN Department.

In an obstetrics and gynecology career with LVHN, you will experience :

• Over 30 service sites for obstetrics and gynecology in 11 counties serving womens preventive, gynecologic and obstetrics needs.
• Five Family Birth and Newborn Centers throughout the region provide maternity care.
• Additional locations provide gynecologic surgical care for women using traditional and advanced minimally invasive techniques.
• Multiple locations give physicians and APCs the option to choose the setting in which they practice.
• Intimate and familiar patient settings or busy bustling practices
• Community-based programs or academic tertiary referral hospitals
• Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurse midwives dedicated to providing exceptional care.
• Ability to teach and train students and residents at some locations.

Qualifications

• Board Certified
• A current Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
• Physician trained in obtaining, interpreting and reporting diagnostic ultrasound studies in OB and GYN
• Fellowship training in advanced techniques in OB and / or GYN ultrasound preferred
• Prior experience in conception, execution, administrative oversite and leadership in clinical ultrasound program development
