Job Summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring for Education Coordinator STARS Program
Works under direction to coordinate administration of educational programs of the STARS program
Experience and Education
High school graduate or GED and four (4) years related experience.
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree
Job Duties
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and administers STARS program operations as applicable.
- May supervise clerical and administrative support staff; may oversee training and orientation of staff; may determine work priorities;
may evaluates work progress and production.
- May develop and oversee budgets related to education office, including approving expenditures and preparing summaries of financial operations.
- Creates, reviews, and maintains policies and procedures in accordance with university standards to ensure compliance.
- Maintains records and documentation of activities of program participants.
- Manages admission activities of unit, which may include coordinating production of brochures / recruitment materials, overseeing interview process, maintaining records of applicants, compiling statistical data on applicants, and preparing reports on admissions activities.
- Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- As directed, may process on-line forms for supply ordering, and / or other operation’s needs. May assist supervisor in monitoring program expenditures within university guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Work requires proficient knowledge of computers, office equipment, and other related tasks.
- Work requires ability supervise staff.
- Work requires ability to interpret and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures of university and accrediting agencies.
- Work requires ability to coordinate and direct various functions related to program(s).
- Work requires ability to maintain records and documentation related to activities of program participants.
- Work requires ability to communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external contacts concerning policies and procedures.
- Work requires ability to work with confidential information on daily basis.
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in general office area.
