The Boiler Controls Engineer will define, design, and implement control systems for a variety of package and field-erected boilers spanning multiple industries.
Responsibilities :
- Owns and leads multiple boiler control system projects primarily implemented in Rockwell Automation control platforms.
- Analyzes customer application requirements to determine system architecture, control strategies, and network architecture.
- Oversees the hardware design of control system cabinets and panels.
- Develops PLC and HMI application programs.
- Leads integrated system test and FAT activities.
- Serves as the lead technical contact for customers; develops and maintains long-term customer relationships
- Tests system hardware and application software to verify functionality meets customer requirements, as well as NFPA 85 and other applicable industry codes and standards.
- Travels to client sites for project meetings and control system commissioning.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of Boiler Control System EngineeringB.S. in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.Experience in implementing boiler control systems (BMS & Combustion Control)using PLC or DCS platforms.
Experience in site commissioning, startup and tuning of boiler control systems.Self-motivated with ability to work independently on multiple projects.
Works well in a team environment with strong communication skills.
Travel expectations : Approximately 30% for customer site meetings and startup / commissioning of systems
