Senior Director of Industrial Engineering
What Will You Do?
You will lead the IE team for Ashley Furniture Industries providing support for our domestic and overseas facilities. This includes the development of standard data packages to establish and maintain labor standards, providing cost estimates for labor content on new products and special projects, assisting in developing layouts for effective use of equipment and processes as well as being a lead resource on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives throughout the division.
What Do You Need?
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering field or equivalent work experience, Required
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution establishing methods and developing routings and standards; applying standards to work for pay purposes, Required
- Several years of supervisory / management experience
- Ability to understand industrial organization in terms of pay and motivation to improve rate-based pay methods
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement, ideally combined with a Lean Six Sigma certification
- Demonstrated experience executing Value Stream Mapping initiatives and trainings
- Former experience in process engineering, Preferred.
