Candidates should preferably have already earned (or are near the completion of) a Ph.D. in economics.

Candidates should be committed to excellence in both teaching and scholarly research. The successful candidate will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in microeconomics and specialized topics within finance, although they should also be willing to teach econometrics and quantitative methods as well as introductory macroeconomics courses.

The ability to oversee and administer the Department’s Student Managed Investment Fund will be a significant asset.

The cover letter should speak to how you would build an active classroom setting when dealing with complex conceptual economic and financial issues in a diverse educational environment, and the academic pluralism statement should demonstrate expertise in multiple approaches to the discipline.
