The Team :

We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our team supporting Marketplace Workbench Platform. The S&P Global Workbench technology team comprises geographically diversified software engineers responsible for developing scalable solutions by working directly with the product development team.

You will enable S&P business to showcase our proprietary S&P Global data, combine it with "curated" alternative data, further enrich it with value-add services from Kensho and others, and deliver it via the clients' channel of choice to help them make better investment and business decisions, with confidence.

Responsibilities :

• Developing new user-facing features and components, leveraging ReactJS component-based architecture, and ensuring optimal rendering performance
• Optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring a smooth and delightful user experience across various devices and browsers
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for the future
• Troubleshooting, debugging & optimizing code to enable maximum performance

What We’re Looking For :

A minimum of 3 years of significant experience in application development.

• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile and test-driven development.
• Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Continuous Integration, unit-testing tool, and defect management tools
• Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.

Required technical skills :

• Thorough understanding of and its core principles and a solid knowledge of related web technologies such as JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience with popular workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Integrating applications with authentication systems like Okta.

Desirable technical skills :

• Java, Springboot API development
• Experience in Cloud and Distributed computing technologies like AWS, Spark will be a plus
