Job Description :
UI-UX Development Engineer to support the development and integration of various intelligence capabilities into a test and operational environment.
You will be a member of a project team responsible for designing and deploying numerous components into a larger system infrastructure.
Your work will be to drive the UI-UX design to ensure that it meets human factor requirements of our user groups. In addition to the design, you will work alongside a team of front-end development engineers to build the UI components across program.
Experience : 5+ years of relevant professional experience with Bachelor's, 3+ with Master's or none with a PhD
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
Security : Current / active TS / SCI clearance with CI polygraph or willingness to take one. Background investigation required, including a minimum of a criminal and credit check as well as at least three professional references.
Principal Responsibilities :
Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements and translate them into design specifications.
Design and implement user interfaces for web applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with user needs and business goals.
Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility of designs and provide guidance during the implementation process.
Maintain and refine design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI / UX design.
Develop components & features per UI / UX designs as part of the developer's team
Minimum Requirements :
Must have a current / active TS / SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph
Ability to work in both classified and unclassified environments on location 5 days a week
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree
5+ years of relevant experience in UI / UX design and development
Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with and deep understanding of the following technologies :
Vue3
React
Strong portfolio showcasing UI / UX design work and case studies
Experience working in an Agile development environment
An Excellent Candidate for this position will meet most of the following experience requirements :
Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts and decisions.
Vue2 / 3, VUEX / Pinia, Vuetify, Cesium, Vis, Cypress.
Some experience with web-sockets, data streaming, and other real-time data methods
Ability to write performant code as the amount of data being sent, processed, and received in the apps can be very large.
Experience with splitting up Monolithic UI into separate / stand-alone applications
Experience with migrating from VUEX to Pinia (or something similar)
Experience with migrating from Vue2 to Vue3
