About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2246 To $2496 Job Title : Crisis Intervention Nurse Job Specialty : Registered Nurse (RN) - Crisis Intervention Job Duration : 34 weeks Shift : Night - 5x8 - 4pm-12am, 40 Hours - 1 nurse will work Sunday-Thursday - 1 nurse will work Tuesday-Saturday Guaranteed Hours : 25.
00 hours per week Experience : Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; courses in mental & behavioral health required License : New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification Certifications : AHA BLS Must-Have : English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) Job Description : Engage individuals experiencing homelessness in city streets, subways, and parks.
- Conduct medical, mental health, and safety assessments.- Encourage individuals to seek available city shelter services.
- Conduct street-level mental crisis assessments alongside outreach teams.- Evaluate mental health conditions to assess risks of harm to self or others.
- Determine appropriate crisis response and collaborate with law enforcement for safe transport if necessary.- Collaborate on discharge planning and continuum of care with outreach teams.
- Provide medical attention, document, and assess in the field or office.- Confer with hospital staff and clinicians regarding assessments and treatment.
