We are looking for an experienced leader in home health care who will be responsible for the overall direction of all customer-facing departments.
- Position : Branch Manager
- Location : Shawnee, KS
- Hours : Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
- Qualifications : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; 5-7 years of home health / DME industry required 2-3 years of management / operations.
Essential Functions :
The following list of job functions is not exhaustive or absolute. These functions may change from time-to-time and other tasks and functions may be assigned at the discretion of management.
- Oversees branch activities to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with physician orders, company policies and procedures and professional standards of home-based
- Responsible for the overall direction of all customer-facing and customer-enabling branch employees
- Conducts one to one meetings with direct reports on a regular basis and participates in the hiring and termination process as needed
- Confers with leadership to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions
- Creates monthly reports for location(s), including patient care services
- Works with patients, families and internal departments to address and resolve concerns and issues as needed
- Negotiates with vendors / manufacturers / suppliers to select best vendors for facility; including but not limited to maintenance, cleaning, utilities, security, etc.
- Designs workflows and procedures.
- Confers with managers and staff concerning problems of patient care or policies and assists in analyzing problems and formulating solutions.
- Evaluates the education and training needs of personnel and directs development and implementation of in-service programs through subordinate staff.
- Develops and promotes cooperative working relationships with other provider agencies
- Develops and delivers presentations / case studies associated with seminars, care conferences or sales support for internal or external audiences.
- Assists with the preparation and monitoring of assigned department budget.
- Acts as liaison with caregivers and clinical staff on appropriate home medical equipment choices and ensures coordination of care with other company services, such as RT, CN, INF, and NSG
- Approves schedules and participates in the review of assigned staff.
- Seeks ways to improve and promote quality by participating in departmental and corporate quality improvement activities.
- Manage warehouse responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units / assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-7 years of home health / DME industry required and 2-3 years of management / operations.
