Commercial Construction Superintendent
Scott Humphrey has partnered with a growing General Contractor in the Georgia area to assist in finding their new Commercial Construction Superintendent as the organization continues to grow.
The Superintendent will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors and construction crews.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, records of site progress, and documentation of all construction activities.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project schedules and timelines.
- Manage and control project budgets, expenses, and cost tracking.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between all project team members and stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to applicable building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
