Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
A Child Welfare Agency in Queens is currently seeking a Pediatric RN to join their growing Pediatric team.
About the Opportunity :
- Start Date : ASAP
- Assignment Length : Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule : Monday - Friday
- Hours : 9-5p or 10-6p
- EMR : Accumed
- Patient Population : Newborn to 21
- Patient Volume : 10 patients per day
Responsibilities :
The Pediatric Registered Nurse will :
- Conducting assessments, including : HIV risk assessments, intake assessments, general first aid and triage activities.
- Conducting screenings for : substance abuse, developmental health, mental health and physical body checks for abuse
- Providing appropriate physical clearances (e.g. body checks) for routine visits, home transfers, discharges, etc.
- Facilitating patient management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and asthma; and providing patient and caregiver education.
Qualifications :
- NYS Registered Nurse
- Master's or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
Desired Skills :
- Bilingual is a plus, not mandatory
- Administrative Experience
- Experience working in child welfare environment is a plus
