Planner

Growing Michigan firm looking to add a talented Associate or Senior Planner with opportunity for growth!

Responsibilities :

• Lead / manage the production ofpresentation materials, technical reports and letters, and other projectdeliverables for planning and planning-related projects
• Develop / lead community engagementactivities
• Develop / lead data collection andanalysis
• Manage project budgets
• Develop strategies to promote economicand community development, address housing challenges, promote efficient landuse consistent with community goals, improve streetscapes and mobility, andadvance other community initiatives
• Work with internal / external teamsincluding municipalities in the area, owners / developers, architects, landscapearchitects, engineering trades, contractors, and community organizations
• Interpret / apply applicable codes,ordinances, and regulations (state, county, and local)
• Assist with proposal preparation andfee estimates for potential projects
• Supervise junior staff
• Represent organization at networkingevents, conferences, public meetings, and within the community

Requirements :

• Master’s degree in urban or regionalplanning, urban studies, urban design, architecture, engineering, landscapearchitecture, geography, or related field of study
• 3+ years of planningexperience
• 5+ years ofexperience for Senior Planner
• American Institute of CertifiedPlanners (AICP) certification
• Knowledge of methodology, principles,and practices of planning, research, and data collection
• Familiar with municipal planning / zoningadministrator activities
• Knowledge of development processes,real estate finance, incentives, and other public approvals preferred
• Proficient with tools such as AdobeCreative Suite, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu

Salary iscommensurate with experience.
