The Assistant Manager at Jonesboro Dwarf House is responsible for assisting the General Manager in all aspects of running a successful and profitable restaurant.

This individual will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hospitality / restaurant industry and possess strong leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits :

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $18 to $20 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including customer service, food quality, inventory management, and staff training and development
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers by providing exceptional customer service and resolving any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage and mentor a team of employees, including scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales, managing costs, and achieving profit goals
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste or loss
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company standards
  • Assist with various administrative tasks such as payroll, scheduling, and maintaining records and reports
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and share innovative ideas for improving restaurant operations and customer experience

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role in the hospitality / restaurant industry
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation regulations, inventory management, and financial reporting
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
