Director of Procurement - USA - Skills : EPC, Utility-Scale Solar, PV, Photovoltaic - 180k+ salary, full benefits, 3 weeks PTO, etc.

In this Director-level role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the procurement strategy for large-scale utility solar projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of multiple high-impact projects nationwide.

You'll lead a talented team, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost-saving initiatives while supporting the growth of a global leader in renewable energy.

The Role :

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, project managers, and engineers to ensure alignment on procurement schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the development of procurement policies and procedures that optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive vendor management initiatives and build strong relationships with top-tier suppliers, ensuring performance accountability and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and supply chain challenges, adjusting procurement strategies as needed.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team to meet company goals and maintain procurement excellence.

Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director role within the renewables industry.
  • Proven experience managing procurement for utility-scale solar projects, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements in this space.
  • Strong strategic sourcing and vendor management skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate multi-million dollar contracts.
  • In-depth experience with supply chain optimization, inventory management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, with the ability to balance competing priorities and ensure the delivery of high-impact projects on time and on budget.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with contract law, procurement regulations, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations.
