Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

  • Participates as a member of development team.
  • Completes development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers.
  • Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes unit tests.
  • Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Web- site Development).
  • May perform unit design.
  • Applies company and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
  • Configures end-user or enterprise systems designed by more senior technologists.
  • Participates as a member of development team or teams; may lead a small development team.
  • Writes clean, efficient and maintainable code in accordance with established standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure high-quality and bug-free software.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by user or identified in testing phase.
  • Streamline deployment processes and ensure systems reliability.
  • Contribute to the documentation of design, coding, and testing activities.
  • Designs units for others. Completes development to implement complex components.
  • Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.
  • Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews.
  • Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development).
  • Applies company and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
  • Independently implements end-user or enterprise solutions complexity or services prepared by more senior technologists for more complex solutions.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of applications design, development and programming with batch C programming (UNIX / LINUX) experience
  • Previous experience in healthcare TPL, Third-Party Liability (with onboarding new carriers), systems experience is required
  • Experience in any of the following languages is desired : COBOL, PL / 1, Java, C++, C#, and VB.Net
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL server databases, web service development, workflow management tools like K2, Middleware technology like BizTalk is plus, debugging issues related to Windows server and IIS , SDLC, MVC and Entity maintenance framework.

What you should expect in this role

  • Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
  • For systems outages, possible on call work may be required.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
