Under the direction of the Pharmacy Director and Manager, the Pharmacy supervisor assists in providing an optimal pharmacy practice environment designed to meet the needs of the organization and our patients.
By collaborating with other healthcare professionals, this position participates in the development of safe, optimal, and cost-effective medication use practices by hospital and clinic clinicians.
This position also serves as a teacher, mentor, and role model for pharmacy staff and facilitates high quality pharmaceutical services by supporting the implementation of clinical and operational pharmacy services within the organization.
The supervisor oversees the daily activities of the department including sterile compounding, unit-dose dispensing, automated dispensing machines, medication order entry, floor stock, purchasing, billing, quality assurance, regulatory and safety.
The supervisor has authority for scheduling the pharmacists, intern pharmacists, technicians and clerks.

Required qualifications :
- PharmD Graduate of a School of Pharmacy.
- California Pharmacist Registered upon hire
- 2 years of Hospital experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
Preferred qualifications :
- Coursework / Training : ASHP accredited pharmacy residency
- Supervisory experience
