Position Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring product inspections and testing, implemented controls, standards, procedures and corrective actions are working properly to support the Teleflex Medical Quality System and test processes.
The Quality Technician Lead ensures the continuation of a positive work culture by leading by example for the Quality and Production Departments.
Adhere to safety, manufacturing, and quality procedures and requirements.
With direction from the Production Supervisor and Quality Engineer, this position assists with streamlining goals within the Mansfield site for Quality Technicians.
- Provides oversight and guidance to Quality Technicians to ensure daily tasks are handled in accordance with timely requirements.
- Effectively communicates to Quality Engineer and Production Supervisor any Quality activities or resource constraints that may jeopardize production.
- Aids with any Quality-related testing, incoming, release, and review activities.
- Supervises day-to-day activity issues.
- Provides and communicates accurate information and test data to Production or Engineering upon request.
- Assists with training and guiding other employees to support the continuous improvement plan.
- Assists with calibration activities as requested.
- Ensures employee training records are accurate, electronically saved, scanned, and filed to support QMS and continuous improvement plan.
- Assists with procedural documentation updates.
- Assists with nonconformances using the NC process.
- Supports process compliance and related documentation.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects.
- Identifies non-compliances (product or process) via the creation of nonconformances using the NC process.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support daily Quality department or production activities.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 Years working as a technician or equivalent
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Ability to help promote an effective team environment with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with GDP, and ISO Quality Systems is strongly desired.
- Shows good judgement for analytical and problem-solving.
