About the job
Within our Food handling (tank cleaning) business unit, you will grow profitable sales in the region. Drive profitable growth by creating demand and closing orders at the end-user and channel levels via awareness building, lead generation, data mining, and specification development of Tank Cleaning Equipment.
Create a sales plan according to the business division strategy by working closely with the General Manager.
Proactively penetrates end-user organizations to define their needs (for a specific project or otherwise), to drive specification and persuade them to purchase a solution using Alfa Laval Tank Equipment technology.
Manages assigned targeted customers, and industries
Develops sales plan to maximize channel engagement for tank cleaning products
Supports RSM Team with product and application knowledge at end user
Conducts sales presentations, and product demonstrations in person and digitally
Drives competence across RSM team and channel network in planned manner
Researches, and stays current with, pertinent industry trends and activity to identify probable end-user targets
Maintenance of CRM info, participation in collaboration meetings, timely creation and publication of call / activity reports as well as status updates on open quotes.
Active use and update of group calendar.
Regularly monitors competitor activities, offering and positioning provides feedback to General Manager
Effectively hand off quote opportunities to inside sales team for proposal generation
Acts as an ambassador for all Alfa Laval products and services
75% travel with 50% overnight travel.
Invention and confidentiality agreement
What you know :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or related sales experience.
3-5 years preferred
Background including successful selling in an Industrial business to business environment
Sanitary process and CIP knowledge, preferred
Previous territory or key account management experience, a plus.
Experience with the practical application of fluid handling equipment pumps, valves, fittings, heat exchangers, and related products, a plus

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right.
These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $75,000 - $95,000 base + bonus.
