Alliance Water Resources is a growing water and wastewater contract operations company with an open Regional Operations Manager.
Location : Remote Regional Office
About the Job
This position is expected to provide overall leadership and management, and is responsible for regulatory compliance, intergovernmental relations, public relations, planning, finance, budgeting and oversite and development of departmental staff which provides a wide range of water / wastewater treatment operations.
Minimum Qualifications include, but not limited to, progressive utility or municipal management experience, demonstrating the ability to anticipate and respond to the complexities of rapid development, economic growth, regulatory environmental concerns, and competing interests while maintaining a stable and safe water quality for the local communities served.
An Associate's Degree with ten years of proven success at the Division Manager level may be considered in lieu of a BA / BS in business, public administration, engineering or related field preferred.
Frequent travel with minimal overnights required.
Requirements
Authority :
Hire, change compensation, promote, demote and discipline employees within jurisdiction in accordance with company policy and approved budget.
When outside company policy, make recommendation to Director of Operations.
- Recommend employee termination, as necessary, to Director of Operations.
- Approve purchases in accordance with company policy.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Receive records, reports and information required to meet division operating objectives
- Set operation standards in conjunction with Director of Operations.

Responsibilities :
- General management of assigned field operating units (divisions).
- Participate as an active member of the company management
- Operating division and client strategic planning and budgeting.
- Maintain positive client relations and public relations.
- Compliance with client contract obligations.
- Maintain compliance with environmental and safety law, rules, regulations and company policy.
- Overall supervision and personnel administration of assigned division employees including staffing, assignment, performance evaluation, training, certification and job descriptions.
- Implement, monitor and control purchasing within established company policy.
- Preparation and submittal of reports to supervisor, clients and appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Provide clear, concise and timely communications between divisions and with corporate management.
- Implementation of and compliance with standard operating and maintenance programs and procedures and utility billing and collection procedures.
- Promote harmonious relations between divisions and departments and furnish support where necessary.
Duties :
- Manage and direct activities of local managers.
- Serve as member of Management Committee.
- Conduct performance evaluations for local managers.
- Receive operating reports from local managers and provide summary report of division activity to the Director of Operations.
- Division budget preparation, planning and presentation and negotiation of client fee and contract renewals in conjunction with the local manager.
- Prepare for, coordinate and / or attend client board meetings where applicable.
- Notify Director of Operations of any major or repeated violation of company policy.
- Meet all objectives in accordance with the current approved management objectives plan.
- Participate in business development activities as requested by the Director of Operations.
- Provide assistance to other company departments or divisions as requested by the Director of Operations
- Actively participate in at least one related professional organization.
- Perform other duties or assignments that may be requested by the Director of Operations.
