Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
About the Role
Join our healthcare client, a rehabilitation facility specializing in post-acute care , as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) .
In this role, you will play an essential part in supporting patients’ recovery journeys by working under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists to provide personalized, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer patient treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist (PT) .
- Maintain treatment records in compliance with PT Board standards.
- Communicate patient progress and care plans with the healthcare team.
- Assist with treatment area maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Attend Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
- Follow physician-directed treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Support the nursing team by providing Restorative Aide training .
- Participate in in-service staff training sessions.
- Provide training to patients’ families and caregivers to ensure smooth transitions at discharge.
- Document treatment changes according to facility policies.
- Report equipment issues promptly to ensure a safe environment.
- Cultivate positive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in the state of California
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting
