About the Role

Envoy Workplace launched in May 2023, which has been Envoy’s fastest-growing revenue stream and is expected to continue growing at a rapid pace.

This team is the core features team for Workplace and is ultimately held responsible for this product’s success and failure.

As an iOS engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for building core product features, collecting and evaluating metrics that determine their impact on the business, and raising the bar for our app’s quality.

Our engineers own the full development and release cycle and are empowered to make any technical or process changes to improve the velocity of the team.

Envoy Mobile app is a rapidly expanding product suite, and our tech stack has been shaped by this environment. The codebase is built up by a list of modules, each responsible for a feature or product, and are brought together using dependency injection.

Much of the app is built using reactive programming, utilizing an internal component-driven UI framework to speed up feature development.

This is a hybrid position that requires at least 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You will

  • Work with other engineers, designers, and product managers to develop excellent product experiences
  • Help us to scale the Envoy mobile app’s usage to tens of thousands of customers
  • Design core iOS application components to support the user features
  • Conduct technical design and code reviews, sharing your knowledge and experience across the organization
  • Deliver high-quality code to reinforce the great mobile client experiences

You have

  • 5+ years of experience with iOS Development and are proficient in Swift
  • Published and maintained one or more apps in the App Store
  • Experience with functional reactive programming (RxSwift, Combine, reactivex.io)
  • Enjoy working on products that are used every day by people around the world
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and can leverage your experience to make rock-solid engineering and product decisions
  • Appreciate a fast-paced environment that values iteration

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of GIS technology
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), iBeacons, or Near-Field Communication (NFC)
  • Experience with location services
  • Experience working in large mobile codebases

You'll get

  • A high degree of trust in your ideas and execution
  • An opportunity to partner and collaborate with other talented people
  • An inclusive community where you feel welcomed and cared for as a person
  • The ability to make an immediate impact helping customers create a great workplace experience
  • Support for your personal and professional growth
