Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Orthotic Fitter to join our client's team in New Haven / Southbury, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting durable medical equipment (DME) and bracing, although certification is not required.
This role involves working closely with patients to provide customized and off-the-shelf orthotic solutions that enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their orthotic needs.
- Fit and adjust DME and bracing to ensure optimal comfort and functionality.
- Educate patients and their families on the proper use and care of orthotic devices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of our client by participating in community outreach and educational initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Experience in fitting DME and bracing is highly preferred.
- Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
