Meridian Services was established in 1980 working with SILS persons. Today, we have 30 group homes, 220 In Home / SILS persons, and 120 Case Managers with our company in Minnesota.

The boys enjoy getting out regularly to enjoy their local community by walking, biking and attending community events. In this position, staff focus on routines, transitions and sensory diets as well as supporting the person in all aspects of daily living.

We are looking for a staff that is patient and comfortable with personal cares. Staff at this program need to be a self-starter and take the initiative to complete tasks without being asked to do so.

A good knowledge of autism is a must. As a Direct Support Professional, you will support our people served with daily activities that include working on outcomes designed for each person served at a variety of residential group homes.

Outcomes are designed to increase independent in skills. These may include learning more about community resources, finding hobbies, working on personal cares and meal preparations / planning or budgeting.

We tailor our services to each person and their needs and wishes. Additionally, as a Direct Support Professional, the position entails medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and personal cares (baths and helping change briefs) for persons served. Requirements :

• To be at least 21 years of age per DHS Licensing for staff working in a child foster care site
• Have a vehicle with current car insurance
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
• Successful clearance from a DHS background Study
• Ability to assist with personal cares
