About the Role
The Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) provides clinical therapeutic support, supervises behavioral health professionals for the outpatient Family and Wellness Health Clinic, and offers clinical consultation for the tribal Youth Residential Treatment Center patients.
The LCP provides leadership and support for an integrated, patient centered, multi-disciplinary health team of dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to provide care at the highest-level standards.
This role is responsible for the operations, vision, direction and supervision of the outpatient family and wellness clinic behavioral health unit, including licensed mental health and substance use disorder providers, and consultation with the adolescent inpatient treatment program.
The LCP provides oversight for the legal and clinical aspects of mental health and substance abuse health care delivered by the departments.
The LCP consults with other healthcare providers, provides training and mentoring, and is directly involved with the evaluation and treatment of clinically complex patient care problems (outpatient / SUD inpatient).
The LCP will see patients clinically and will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the outpatient mental health and outpatient substance abuse programs.
Essential responsibilities include :
- Providing consultation services for behavioral health professionals and program staff, while maintaining consistency with the protocols established in operating an adolescent and family comprehensive behavioral health program.
- Continually assessing staff treatment plans, service delivery, and referrals to advanced behavioral or inpatient treatment resources.
- Conducting assessment of patients exercising professional judgement in evaluating level of care, diagnosis, treatment plans, and DSM diagnosis based upon information obtained.
- Providing appropriate therapeutic intervention using a variety of counseling techniques and modalities including individual, collateral, group and / or family therapy.
- Participating in the Inpatient Admissions team meetings to review applications and assist in identifying those applicants who meet clinical ASAM 3.
5 criteria level for admissions and outpatient clinical services, as needed.
- Ensuring routine audits of outpatient mental health patient records for appropriate measurable individual service plans that are fluid and updated and congruent with DSM criteria.
- Implementing and maintaining fidelity with policies and procedures of the treatment milieu to ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA (45 CFR), CARF and Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychology from an accredited university.
- Active, unrestricted license as a Clinical Psychologist or Psychologist in Washington or another state. If license is not from Washington, candidate must be willing to obtain a Washington license within two months from the start of their employment.
- Seven years of work experience in clinical and administrative functions in the inpatient or outpatient treatment of mental health services for adolescents and families.
- Two years of experience working in a multidisciplinary leadership group.
- Demonstrated high level of emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse staff.
- Experience providing evidence-based and best practice Trauma-Focused Therapy (EMDR, CPT, PE), preferred.
- Knowledge of the historical and intergenerational trauma experience by Native American populations and communities, as well as related treatment modalities, including traditions and culture, preferred.
- Experience working with patients struggling with substance abuse, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $120,910 - $172,681 per year. The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage (with 100% of the employee premium covered), 11 paid holidays, 20 days of PTO per year, a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with employer match, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
Work Environment
This position is located fully onsite in Spokane Valley, Washington. This position does not allow for remote work or telecommuting.
