Responsible for the daily operations and overall effective performance of assigned practice including workflow development, patient schedule management, provider and staff engagement, patient experience, and assisting with inventory control.
Description of Duties Supervises the daily operations and activities of assigned practice to ensure efficiency and quality service is delivered within all sections of the clinic.
Ensures compliance with regulations and standards while maintaining and upholding established clinic patient care, operational and employee policies at assigned site.
Responsible for assisting with the recruitment, development, and supervision of staff.Objectively evaluates / documents the performance of personnel and takes corrective action as appropriate.
Assists Medical Office Manager and administration with operational plans and budgets (capital and operations) and implements performance improvement strategies within the practice as agreed upon by the Medical Office Manager and ISU Clinical Service Administrative Leader.
Analyzes and monitors revenue and expense budgets on an on-going basis and takes appropriate action to ensure practice is within budget guidelines.
Ensures appropriate information is gathered and transmitted in support of billing functions and may assist with annual budget preparation.
Serves as point of contact for patients and external customer complaints. Reconciles and investigates all complaints relating to practice operations and refers complex situations to the assigned Medical Office Manager.
Oversees all office supplies and ensures the ordering of needed supplies to maintain inventory.Effectively multitasks and works in a fast-paced environment.
Maintains documentation as required by regulatory agencies, policies, and procedures.Assists with the coordination and maintenance and repairs of clinic area, equipment, and instruments.
May be responsible for practice site with multiple providers.Assumes leadership role in absence of the Medical Office Manager.
Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of UT Health RGV.Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education Associate degree in a related field or 60 hours of college credit, including 18 hours business and / or health care related course work.
Preferred Education N / A Licenses / Certifications N / A Required Experience Two years of administrative experience in a clinic, medical office or multi-physician group or general medical office experience to include supervisory duties or a High School diploma with four years of the required experience.
Preferred Experience Experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish Equipment Use of standard office equipment and electronic medical record system.
Clinical equipment. Exceptional computer experience and skills required including the use of Microsoft Office. Working Conditions Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties.
Office / healthcare environment; some travel and weekend work is required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
