Growing specialty insurance carrier is looking to hire a Senior Underwriter to their casualty underwriting group. This individual should be someone who is interested in longer term leadership advancement.
While the role today is building and growing their presence in the Chicago market with many of the wholesale brokers, the goal is for this person to mentor and develop others while the business grows - ultimately, this individual will get to "reap what they sow" and manage and grow with the organization they have built.
We are looking for someone with at LEAST 8 or more years of experience handling General Liability lines of business. If you have relationships across the Midwest but also enjoy relationships across the country, we should talk! If you are someone who enjoys underwriting unique and challenging risks, having the ability to possess a high level of underwriting authority and truly enjoy an entrepreneurial environment where the company and leadership are supporting you rather than constantly giving you direction, requiring multiple layers of authority, etc.
