Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining WireCo's IT infrastructure that supports core organizational functions.
This role involves the integration and fine-tuning of Microsoft systems, VMware environments, and network infrastructures to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage Windows Server environments and the supporting network infrastructure to ensure high system availability and reliability.
- Install, configure, and maintain VMware-based virtual platforms, ensuring efficient operation and resource allocation.
- Implement and oversee network services including Domain Name System (DNS) , Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and other network protocols.
- Manage system upgrades, migrations, and installations with minimal disruption to business operations, while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement; implement appropriate security measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance on infrastructure issues to WireCo teams globally.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend solutions for continuous system enhancements and optimizations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems administration, including solid experience with Microsoft Windows systems, VMware, and network management.
- Proficient with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience in implementing and managing enterprise network solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent platforms in a plus.
- Experience with AWS cloud services is a plus.
