Our client, a large manufacturer is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to join their team in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanor to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support.
Duties :
- Receive incoming business calls and routing them to the proper staff member.
- Receive and sort incoming mail / deliveries.
- Order supplies, lunches and refreshments.
- Help schedule meetings and coordinate company events.
- Take minutes & notes for company committee meetings and complete various clerical tasks for the committees.
- Make travel arrangements for employee’s business travels and coordinate with company’s overseas subsidiaries.
- Conduct research for various departments related to customers, vendors or products based on specific requirements
- Mail requested invoices and catalogs to customers. Scan pick slips for daily product shipments.
- Maintain shipping supplies and postage meter.
- Receive walk-in visitors and coordinate their appointment, delivery, and / or other request(s). Keep guest sign-in / out log.
- Assist Accounting, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and HR with other special projects.
Skills :
- Must have strong phone and email communication skills.
- Must maintain neat and professional appearance.
- Able to handle multiple phone lines / calls without compromising caller information, on-hold lapsed time, or the connection itself.
- Must be a dependable team player, able to maintain good attendance and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good PC skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Google suite, including proficiency with Google Sheets / Surveys
- Able to perform multiple tasks and day-to-day responsibilities.
- Eagerly looks for new ways to improve position or take on additional responsibilities.
