POSITION SUMMARY :
Assists in the daily operations of the Emergency Center under the supervision of unit leadership. Responsible for managing all supplies, equipment, policies and procedures for the Emergency Center to maintain day to day operations.
Liaison with Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services and surrounding counties including law enforcement for quality improvement and quality assurance.
Responsible for disaster preparedness as it relates to the Emergency Center to include training for Emergency Center staff.
Location : St. Petersburg, FL
Hours : Full Time-Day Shift
QUALIFICATIONS :
- A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
- 3-5 years’ experience in Emergency Medical Service System
- 3 years of previous hospital experience with equipment and supplies utilized by pediatric facilitates
- EMT, Paramedic, or equivalent certification (minimum of 2 years)
- Experience in hazmat and disaster training; certification in FEMA HERT / FEMA EMO / FEMA Frame / Hospital Hazmat / Engine Company Decon is highly preferred
- Knowledgeable regarding hospital materials management in conjunction with JCAHO standards
