Position Summary :

• The Associate Attorney will assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to existing clients. The Associate Attorney is responsible for conducting legal research;
• drafting documents and pleadings; communicating with clients and experts; drafting and responding to discovery; document review;

and assisting with trial and deposition preparation. Associates will represent clients in court and depositions.

• Status : Full-Time / Exempt
• Work Location : This position will report to work at our office in Jacksonville.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and / or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Requirements & Competencies :

• At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Florida Bar Admission or planning to sit for the Bar
• Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet expectations for billing goals.
