We are currently seeking a senior professional to lead the firm’s strategic water / wastewater initiatives within the western Pennsylvania area market.
This position will play a vital role in expanding our water / wastewater presence in western Pennsylvania, hiring and mentoring staff, and helping guide the overall direction of our growth and expansion in western Pennsylvania as well as supporting growth throughout the company.
The successful candidate must be energetic and have the ability to mentor and lead teams throughout western Pennsylvania and throughout WRA’s market areas.
In addition, they must have a demonstrated ability to pursue and manage water / wastewater projects with the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN), Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) as well as water and sewer authorities within the region.
This is a unique opportunity to help establish and grow a market for a leading multi-disciplined A&E firm. The successful candidate should possess strong business development skills while working collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams throughout the company.
Leadership responsibilities include : operating with integrity and sound business principles, providing practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing the western Pennsylvania regional water / wastewater practice.

Requirements :
The successful applicant must possess the following :
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the A&E industry leading multi-disciplined experts.
- Track record of developing and growing markets and cultivating outstanding internal and external relationships
- Ability to manage and mentor staff of all levels, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Excellent communication and business development skills including writing proposals, scopes of work, scheduling, and budgets for projected work
- Demonstrated experience leading water / wastewater contracts (within Pennsylvania a plus)
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Pennsylvania PE preferred
- Excellent reputation as a water / wastewater professional
- Positive attitude and willingness to work with others
