Primary Responsibilities
Substation Design Interns will perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager. Tasks may include :
- Assisting in the design and development of for power substations, which could include structural and foundation design.
- Assist Substation Engineers in preparing design packages
- Develop, prepare, and modify substation drawings, including A / C diagrams, D / C schematics, and logic and functional diagrams
- Performing simple calculations
- Participate in field reviews
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed towards engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA
- Courses in Power / Energy a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study / industry
- Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for consideration.

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
