About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2112 To $2346 Job Title : Physical Therapist Job Specialty : Physical Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour days Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : New graduate from an accredited APTA program.
Preferred : 1-2 years in outpatient orthopedic or inpatient acute care settings. License : PT license or eligible for licensure in Illinois Certifications : BLS - American Heart Must-Have : - Master's degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience - Ability to work with a diverse age group including pediatric, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric Job Description : - Evaluate, develop treatment plans, and execute a physical therapy program for patients - Aim to enable patients to reach maximal functional performance - Work on prevention, identification, correction, and alleviation of movement dysfunctions - Handle outpatient and inpatient populations, with focus on pediatric cases for outpatient - Responsible for emergency care when necessary - Exposure to infections and contagious diseases, adherence to universal precautions required - Supervision of physical therapist assistants, athletic trainers, and physical therapy aides - Operate diagnostic, computer, and other necessary equipment Environment / Working Conditions : - Possibility of exposure to disease and hazards from equipment - Contact with patients under varied circumstances Required Protective Clothing : - Use of gloves, gown, mask, and lab coat The position may be split between different facilities and requires understanding of drug-free campus policies requiring a negative drug screen.
