Pay Range of $60,000 - $80,000 DOE annually + Bonus Opportunity

Job Summary : As a Technical Sales Manager at Optibelt Corporation, you will serve as the face of our company. We are seeking a driven individual to drive sales initiatives, build lasting relationships with distributors and end users, and effectively promote the benefits of our belt solutions.
Your prime responsibilities and your key metrics will be to conduct sales meetings, pursue sales opportunities, and close new business at distribution customers.
We want you to get in there and promote our solutions to distributors and end users who are eager to hear about how our belt solutions will reduce headaches and improve their bottom line.
On Any Given Day You Will :
- Build business relationships with distributors, end users, and OEMs by advising customers of our products’ features and benefits within your multi-state sales territory.
- Actively pursue sales opportunities and close new business.
- Represent Optibelt at networking events, trade shows, and industry exhibitions to showcase our products and services.
- Provide input to marketing based on customer feedback and your frontline sales experience.
- Travel to customers in your territory for in-person meetings.
What You Need To Bring To The Table :
You need to bring a positive attitude, and the ability to be coached, confident, and experienced in presenting to executives, business owners, distribution salespeople, and end-user customers like maintenance managers, purchasing agents or engineers.
You need to be smart and articulate, and you will have previously pitched (and sold) value-added products. It is an advantage if you have experience selling to industrial end users and distributors, preferably polyurethane timing belts, power transmission v-belts, or lightweight conveyor belts.
Skills And Requirements :
- Previous success in selling value-added products, preferably within industrial sectors.
- At least 1-2 years of field sales experience and managing your territory.
- A willingness to learn and be coached.
- Organizational skills. There is a difference between saying you’re organized and being organized.
- Understanding of sales and marketing concepts. Your feedback about our promotions will help tailor offers to customers (both new and existing).
- You are an above-average user of MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time and manage a designated sales territory efficiently.
- Know how to use a CRM system to manage your day-to-day tasks and customer interactions. We use SugarCRM.
- The ability to work independently and complete projects on time.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and commitment to safe driving.
- A college degree would be beneficial but not required.
