Location : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Compliance Director will be responsible for directing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that support the team and management.

This role primarily advises internal stakeholders on federal mandates and third-party administration (TPA) / fully insured carrier responsibilities.

This position frequently interacts with senior leadership as well as external parties.

How you will make an impact :

Directs projects, initiatives, regulatory sanctions, executive-sponsored initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments;

audit planning, conducting mock audits, conducting audit training, managing audit evidence preparation, assessing audit preparedness

  • Leads compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, map processes, draft corrective actions / remediation plans, oversee implementation of corrective actions, prepare reports / presentations
  • Advises on strategic plans, makes recommendations to leadership and associates, and leads compliance committees.
  • Develops strategic plans, makes recommendations to leadership; designs / implements annual compliance plan
  • Leads complex investigations and documents findings
  • Develop strong relationships with key leaders to identify and address compliance risks and failures and manage action plans designed to fully mitigate risk(s)
  • Oversees foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities across several brands / lines of business that support operational teams and management.

Minimum Requirements :

Requires a BA / BS and minimum of 8 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences :

  • Strong leadership / managerial skills and ability to motivate / coach other staff strongly preferred
  • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary
  • MS / MBA / JD or professional designation preferred
  • Strong collaborative team skills and high individual-directed work ethic.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $104,640 to $180,504.

Locations : Cerritos, CA; Woodland Hills, CA; Colorado; Las Vegas, NV
